This full-time position includes trauma, critical care, emergency and elective general surgery. Our trauma surgery group manages a 14-bed trauma/neuro intensive care unit, a 28-bed trauma step-down unit and co-manages a 33-bed Med/Surg ICU. We serve an eight county area with an estimated population of over two million and record 4,200 adult and pediatric trauma evaluations annually at our Level 1 Trauma Center at the 800-bed Cedar Crest Campus in Allentown, Pa. The hospital has four air ambulances, a mobile Critical Care Transport Team, three trauma resuscitation bays and a dedicated trauma operating room. The integrated Children’s Hospital is accredited as a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. An integral part of the trauma program is an ABA accredited regional burn center staffed by three full time burn surgeons.
