(Posted Nov 2, 2016) – A BC/BE Trauma/Surgical Critical Care Surgeon is invited to join our employed group at Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN). This full-time position includes trauma, critical care, emergency and elective general surgery. Our trauma surgery group manages a 14-bed trauma/neuro intensive care unit, a 28-bed trauma step-down unit and co-manages a 33-bed Med/Surg ICU. We serve an eight county area with an estimated population of over two million and record 4,200 adult and pediatric trauma evaluations annually at our Level 1 Trauma Center at the 800-bed Cedar Crest Campus in Allentown, Pa. The hospital has four air ambulances, a mobile Critical Care Transport Team, three trauma resuscitation bays and a dedicated trauma operating room. The integrated Children’s Hospital is accredited as a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. An integral part of the trauma program is an ABA accredited regional burn center staffed by three full time burn surgeons. Our practice has a significant academic component which includes an RRC-approved Surgical Critical Care Fellowship, ongoing clinical research as well as daily teaching of surgical residents, fellows, and medical students. Faculty appointment is available at the University of South Florida, LVHN’s academic partner.
