(Posted Mar 5, 2013) – Hurley Medical Center is seeking a BC employed trauma surgeon to staff their Level 1 Trauma Center at Hurley. As the area’s only Level 1 Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center in Genesee, Lapeer and Shiawassee County, and Michigan’s northernmost facility, Hurley’s Trauma Center treats approximately over 1,600 patients per year from across the state. Established practice currently employs 7 Surgical Critical Care physicians and 1 Plastic/Trauma Surgeon. 6 days of trauma coverage per month as required by the trauma call schedule. 5 full surgical-clinical days per week and weekend coverage as deemed necessary by the Trauma Program. 3 year contracts. Excellent compensation package, including competitive salary, benefits, malpractice, CME, vacation, as well as several other incentives. QUALIFICATIONS: Specialty or specialties for which Physician is Board eligible/certified and fully qualified under Employer’s credentialing criteria: General Surgery/Critical Care Bariatric and General Surgery practice opportunities available to candidate. PRACTICE DETAILS: Practice is Hurley Medical Center owned so no day to day involvement in the running of the practice. All credentialing, billing, collections and overhead are centrally managed.
