(Posted Feb 1, 2017) – Vassar Brothers Medical Center, located in Poughkeepsie, NY, just 75 minutes north of New York City, is seeking several Trauma/Critical Care Surgeons to join our new trauma team as we work towards achieving an ACS Level II Trauma Center Designation.The Trauma Surgeon will report to the Trauma Program Director and will be responsible for providing trauma, surgical critical care, and acute care surgery coverage. This is an attractive position to be involved in the development of a new service line under an experienced Director at a community hospital that sees more than 80,000 visits a year to their ER. Ideal candidate will be board certified in General Surgery and board certified/eligible in Trauma and Surgical Critical Care.Excellent specialty backup.
